OVERVIEW
A dedicated radio link for control and telemetry.
HPTM1UHF uses frequency-hopping spread spectrum across the 400–480 MHz UHF band to improve resistance to radio interference. It changes transmission frequencies at a 6 ms hopping interval and supports full-duplex communication at data rates up to 22 kbit/s, carrying control commands and telemetry in both directions.
Connect control and telemetry separately
Port 1 supports SBUS flight-control signals through inverted UART at 100,000 baud. Port 2 supports custom, non-inverted UART telemetry at 9,600 or 19,200 baud, with selectable serial framing. Both ports use JST-GH 3-pin connectors, keeping the two interfaces distinct when integrating the modem with onboard and ground equipment.
Configure the link around the deployment
Set frequencies, output power, UART settings and RSSI reporting through USB Type-C. Adjustable transmission power ranges from 100 mW to 5 W. The specified maximum range is up to 300 km, depending on altitude and environmental conditions. Signal strength is available through a 0–3.3 V analog RSSI output or a configurable SBUS channel.
